Community Blood Drives
The Plymouth Lions club has been in partnership with the Blood Center of Wisconsin for years, co-hosting 6 Blood Drives each year with the Plymouth American Legion. By donating blood at one of our drives, you become part of a life-saving plan in the lives of friends, family members, and neighbors that need blood each and every day. Each day, more than 800 units of blood needs to be collected. Fifty percent of that total comes directly from mobile drives like the ones in Plymouth.
In addition to coordinating these Blood Drives six times a year, the Plymouth Lions Club provides outdoor signage, puts up posters in stores, restaurants, and churches and supplies food and desserts for donors. We also sponsor advertising in the local newspaper to increase awareness and donations.
The donated blood here is used by 54 local hospitals and surgical centers, including the one in Plymouth. The blood drive takes place at Generations in Plymouth and runs from 11:30am – 5:30pm unless otherwise noted. Walk-ins are welcome, or you can make a reservation by calling the Blood Center of Wisconsin at 877-232-4376. Be a HERO!
