The Plymouth Lions Club has achieved their goal in securing the $600,000 in funding necessary to proceed with the equipment order and build for the new Stayer Park in downtown Plymouth.

Capping the fund raising effort was the news that Lions Club International Foundation has agreed to assist the club with this project by awarding a grant of $100,000 earmarked for the park.

“This year is the 100th anniversary of Lions clubs, and Lions Clubs International is encouraging local clubs to celebrate with centennial projects in partnership with their communities, especially those fitting the overall mission of Lions, to support the blind and handicapped, to support children, and to build and support our communities. Lions International feels the Plymouth Lions’ Dare to Dream project for Stayer Park is a great example of meeting those causes, and made a substantial commitment of their own for our local community. It’s pretty special to have them commit so greatly to a local project it,” said Randy Kulow, president of Plymouth Lions Club.

A GENEROUS DONATION of $5,000 from Bank First National has helped the Plymouth Lions Club achieve their fundraising goals for the Stayer Park project in Plymouth by their donation of $5,000.
